Dr. Kyeung Mi Oh is a tenured professor in the School of Nursing at George Mason University, specializing in preventive care, gerontology, and quantitative research methods. Her research enhances health outcomes for older adults at risk for cognitive decline by translating findings into tailored interventions. Dr. Oh currently leads two studies. The first study, funded by the National Institute on Aging, develops and validates LifeBio Memory, a multilingual application integrating AI and machine learning to deliver non-pharmacological reminiscence therapy for community-dwelling older adults with, or at risk for, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and their informal caregivers, evaluating its usability and preliminary impact on health and psychosocial outcomes. The second focuses on an AI-driven intervention that combines wearable sensor data, ecological momentary assessments (EMA), and machine learning–based personalization to reduce dementia risk and clarify the behavioral and biological mechanisms of risk reduction in late middle-aged and older adults.
