Edwin Kendrick

Edwin N. Kendrick, MD, MBA, RPVI is a vascular surgeon and serial entrepreneur. Dr. Kendrick founded Sano Healthcare Consultants, which is a biomedical device technology and software company focused on eliminating health disparities. Since 2023, his team has obtained Small Business Innovation Awards from the National Institute of Aging and National Institute of Drug Abuse.

On a community engagement level, Dr. Kendrick serves as chair of the board of directors for SANO Health ARM (Advocacy, Research, and Mentoring), which serves as a non-profit extension of SANO Healthcare Consultants, as an organization committed to developing, exposing, and engaging a national network for pre-K through postgraduate students in opportunities which support workforce diversity and successful careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and medicine (STEAM2), with an emphasis on healthcare. 

Dr. Kendrick serves as Assistant Clinical Professor for the University of California Riverside School of Medicine, as an industry mentor for biomedical engineering students at Johns Hopkins School of Biomedical Engineering,  a mentor with mechanical and aeronautical engineering students at the University of California San Diego, and as a mentor for pharmacy students at Belmont School of Pharmacy.

As a vascular surgeon, he is founder of SANO Vascular, Co-Founder of the Society of Black Vascular Surgeons, and serves as President of the Charles R. Drew Medical Society, a Los Angeles County’s affiliate of the National Medical Association. 

Dr. Kendrick completed his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center, his general surgery training through the University of Tennessee at Memphis and Morehouse School of Medicine, his medical doctorate from Morehouse School of Medicine, and his Executive MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business.

Dr. Kendrick’s most memorable achievement was being honored for his years of impactful service to the campus and greater Athens community as an undergraduate, wherein he was designated a Community Hero and 1996 Olympic Torchbearer, by the Coca Cola Corporation, the University of Georgia, and the city of Athens, Georgia.
