Courtney Wallin

Courtney Wallin, Ph.D., is the acting director of the NIA Office of Legislation, Policy, and International Activities (OLPIA). In this role, she serves as a liaison to Congress and other stakeholders with interest in aging research and health policy issues. Prior to joining NIA, Courtney was the outreach lead at NIH’s All of Us Research Program, where she led efforts to raise awareness about the value of the All of Us dataset, engage researchers from a broad range of communities, and cultivate program partnerships. She came to the NIH through the Presidential Management Fellows Program and served as a fellow and health science policy analyst in NIA OLPIA between 2016- 2020. Courtney obtained her Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience from the George Washington University. While pursuing her doctorate, she was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship; she also received the Australian Endeavour Research Fellowship to support research training at the University of Wollongong in Australia. Courtney holds undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology from Providence College.
